Configuring Eudora Lite for e-mail

The following instructions will help you configure Eudora Lite for email.
Note for Macintosh Users: The screenshots were taken from a Windows machine but will look similar to Macintosh versions of Eudora Lite.

To configure Eudora's settings, click on "Tools", then on "Options" and follow the steps below.

Highlight "Getting Started"

While going through the next five steps, be sure that anywhere it asks for your  POP Account , type in your user name (in all lower case letters) followed by @mail.simplyweb.net
Remember not to use spaces.

i.e. if you username is johndoe
your POP Account will look like this: johndoe@mail.simplyweb.net

Also, anywhere it asks for SMTP, you need to put:
smtp.simplyweb.net

Highlight "Personal Info"

Your "Return address" should be your user name followed by @znet.net

ie. if your user name is johndoe, your "Return address" will be "johndoe@znet.net"

Highlight "Hosts"

Make sure that you have "smtp.simplyweb.net" in your  "SMTP" field.

Leave the "Ph" and "Finger" fields blank.

Note: The first five icons in the "OPTIONS" area are the only ones you need to go over to be able to send  and receive your e-mail.  All the other icons you see in the "OPTIONS" are entirely "OPTIONAL".

Highlight "Checking Mail"

If you want Eudora to automatically check email within a certain time interval, fill in the number of minutes you want for time elapsed before Eudora automatically checks email in the "Check for mail every __ minutes" field.

Check the "Send on check" box.
Do not check the "Leave mail on server" box.

Highlight "Sending Mail"

Leave the "Domain to add to unqualified addresses" field empty.

Check all the following boxes, as seen in the screenshot on the left.
Click "OK"

Your Eudora Lite is now configured for Simply Internet!
